I was recently at a gathering of pastors. Inevitably, the conversation turned to our presidential candidates. One person said, “There is nothing to Obama, all he offers is hope.” I couldn’t help but say, “I don’t care what candidate you are for… but let me be honest. The only thing I have to offer is hope…” Hope is powerful but hope can also powerfully disappoint if we cannot deliver… That is why we share Jesus– He is the Blessed Hope.
